Injury RecoveryWhat should you do if you get injured?

  1. As much as possible, stay active. Prolonged rest or immobilization does not help in the long term. Of course the exception to this rule would include fractures or serious tears of the muscles, tendons or ligaments. Generally, if you feel better when you move, then keep moving.

  2. If you are going to use ice, limit it to the first 2 days. After that use heat to promote circulation.

  3. Use the "2 day rule". If you're not feeling significantly better after two days, seek professional advice from someone knowledgeable in injury recovery.
