Dr. Tanya Rampersad
Bachelor of Science, Agriculture, University of Manitoba, 1996
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine , Bastyr University, Seattle, 2003 |

Originally from Western Canada, I attended Naturopathic College at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, after receiving my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba. The wide scope of practice (we train and practice as primary care physicians) along with the rich history of naturopathic medicine in the United States was both stimulating and inspiring for me. I had the privilege of studying under some of the most renowned and influential Naturopathic and Holistic Doctors of this era. My education in Agriculture has provided me with additional insights into food production and agricultural practices, which I am finding increasingly important in my practice.
I have pursued advanced training in Classical Homeopathy, self-care techniques, physical medicine along with meditation and spiritual training to compliment and enhance my skills as a practitioner and a human being. In addition to private practice, I have served on the boards of national and provincial regulatory bodies (the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Manitoba Naturopathic Association), and was a co-founder of the Prairie Institute of Classical Homeopathy. As a board member for the MNA I was involved in disciplinary issues, changes to bylaws and decision-making that affected the members at large. As a CAND board member I was involved with public relations and promotion of the association at the national level. I am thankful for these opportunities to learn and grow in a group atmosphere.
